Cut a second heart out of white construction paper that is four inches tall. Cut three more hearts out of yellow construction paper that are one inch tall.2Use glue to adhere the white heart on the brown heart. It should be positioned at the bottom of the larger heart, with the bottom points of both hearts touching. Glue one of the yellow hearts to the white heart. It should be centered and at the top of the white heart so that the humps of the heart are touching. Glue the other two yellow hearts to the bottom of the white heart. The points of the hearts should meet in the middle and the humps should be pointed out. They should be centered on the bottom of the white heart and are your owl’s feet.3Cut out two circles from white construction paper which are one inch in diameter. Cut a small crescent shape out of the bottom edge of each circle. This will be the place the eyes rest upon the humps of the white heart, so the exact size and shape of the crescent you cut is dependent on the size and shape of the humps of the white heart.4Use glue to adhere the white circles to the brown heart. The bottom sides with the crescent cuts will rest upon the humps of the white heart. Allow all the glue to dry before proceeding.5Use a black magic marker to draw pupils on your owl. To do this, draw two black circles, one in each of the white circles.6Glue brown feathers to the black of the brown heart. The feathers should be tufts coming out of the top of the owl’s head and should be centralized in the valley of the two humps on the brown heart.

Unfold the sheets of paper and lay them flat on a table. Use 8.5 x 11-inch sheets of a heavy paper–such as thick resume paper or construction paper–to make sure that the booklet is hardy enough to withstand use.2Pick up one of the pieces of paper and make two 1-inch notches on the center crease, one on each end. To make the cuts, start at the edge of the paper and cut towards the middle.3Bend the second sheet of paper in half lengthwise; make a long, narrow rectangle. Pinch the point of the paper where the two folds meet. Do not crease the paper anywhere else. Keeping the paper bent lengthwise, make a 3-inch cut along the width-wise fold made in the paper during Step 1. Cut from the pinched point toward the edge. Unfold the paper; there should be a cut along the first fold in the center of the paper, with the edges still intact.4Lay the second sheet of paper flat on a table. Bend the first sheet of paper lengthwise. This should create a long, narrow rectangle. Slide the paper halfway into the slit in the center of the second sheet of paper. Line up the notches on either end of the first sheet of paper with the edges of the slit on the second sheet of paper. Pop the first sheet of paper open, locking it into place with the notches cut into the ends of the fold.5Fold the booklet in half along the first crease.

You can buy at almost all department stores and craft stores.2Measure the paper you want to laminate or place the paper on top of the contact paper.3Add 1 inch around all of the sides of the paper you want to laminate and mark the contact paper to reflect this size. Cut another piece exactly the same size as the first.5Peel the paper off of the contact paper to reveal the sticky side. Carefully place the paper you want to laminate in the middle of the sticky contact paper.6Peel the paper off of the second sheet of contact paper. This step is a little trickier. Trim the edges with scissors so that they look neat.Pouch Laminator8Buy a pouch laminator (see Resources). There are other kinds of laminators, but you won’t need anything expensive or heavy duty just to laminate a few paper items at home.9Turn your laminator on and wait for the red light to come on. That indicates that the laminator has heated up and is ready for use.10Slide the paper you want to laminate in to one of the laminating pouches. One end will be closed with the other three will be open. Position your paper in the middle.11Insert the pouch in to the laminator with the closed side going in first. Once the machine senses you inserting the pouch, it will take over from there and pull the pouch through the machine.12Catch your paper out the other end. It will now be completely laminated.13Trim the edges with a pair of scissors, if you want, or leave the laminated paper the way it is. Turn the laminator off when you are finished with it.

Other People Are ReadingHow to Mount a Poster on Foam BoardHow to Cut Plastic Foam BoardsPrint this articleThings You’ll NeedFoam boardRulerPencilUtility knifeShow MoreInstructions 1Place the foam poster board on a flat cutting surface. Make sure you have protected the surface you plan to cut on, because the blade of the utility knife may cut through the foam poster board and onto your cutting surface. Using a pencil and ruler, measure and mark the size of the foam poster board you need for your project. Depending on the size of your measurements, mark the foam poster board approximately every 3 inches. The marks will be your guide and will show you where to place your ruler when you begin cutting.2Place your ruler along the penciled marks you made on the foam poster board. Your ruler will guide you and help you make a straight cut. You will slide the ruler along the pencil marks until your cut is complete.3With the ruler firmly in place, make a gentle but firm cut through the top layer of the foam poster board. Remember to hold the utility knife perpendicular to the foam board. This will make an even cut. If you angle the utility knife, your cut will be angled, and this will affect the finished dimensions of the cut poster board.4Complete cutting through the top layer of the foam poster board, following the pencil marks. Place your ruler back on the original cutting line. Go over the original cut, making sure your utility knife cuts through the rest of the foam and the bottom layer of paper.

Draw a circle with an 8-inch diameter using a ruler and a pencil. Cut out the circle with a pair of scissors.2Lay the circle back on the flat surface and place a penny on its center. Trace around the penny with your pencil. Draw a straight line from the edge of the traced circle to the edge of the paper. Cut along the line and remove the center circle with scissors.3Cut scallops around the outer edge of the circle. Punch holes 1/2 inch above the scalloped edge around the perimeter of the circle with a hole punch. This will create a decorative look for the angel’s skirt.4Place glue along one side of the slit in the circle. Bring the other side over the glued portion to form a cone shape. Press along the glued edge with your fingers to secure it. Place the cone scalloped edge down on a flat surface.5Cut out another circle 8 inches in diameter from the construction paper. Cut this circle in half. Punch holes along the curved edges of each half circle.6Fold the half circle into 1/2-inch pleats starting at the straight edge and working your way toward the curved edge. Grasp the pleated paper in the middle and fold it in half so the curved edges meet in the middle and the straight edge forms the two sides. Glue the center edges together. Gently fan the wing open once the glue is dry. Repeat this step on the other half circle.7Glue the wings to the back of the cone, 1 inch down from the top. The wings’ pleated side should be facing forward.8Measure and cut a circle 3 inches in diameter from construction paper. Cut the circle in half and use scissors to scallop the curved edge of each.9Place a drop of glue on one end of each half circle. Attach one half circle scalloped edges down on opposing sides of the cone about 2 inches down. These are the angel’s arms.10Apply glue around the hole at the top of the cone. Place a cotton ball on the opening and hold it in place until the glue has dried.11Apply the spray glitter to the bottom of the angel’s skirt, edges of the wings and arms.
